Ken hires the first CRR employee;
the team works out of Ken’s house.
That first employee is now the
Research Director for a major cruise
line in Florida.

Web-based study for client Intuit regarding their Quicken.com financial services website.

Cooper Roberts occupies its first office space, located on King Street in San

Francisco’s SoMa district. Cooper Roberts employees witness the construction of SBC Park, home of the San Francisco Giants, and the high tech boom explodes around the adolescent company.

2000

 

As a result of building owners’
decision to vacate and remodel the building as the future SF home of E*Trade, Cooper Roberts is forced to move from King Street to Market Street to occupy space in the building originally constructed for the San Francisco Chronicle in 1880. This building was the first high-rise in San Francisco.

2004

 

Cooper Roberts is again forced to move after building management announces that the building would undergo significant renovations and be converted to a residential property. The company moves a block-and-a-half down Market Street to 575 Market (our current

headquarters) to take over a larger
space to accommodate growth of our business and staff.

Ken Roberts awarded the Meritorious Service Award by the Marketing Research

Association (MRA)

Ken Roberts takes majority ownership
of Cooper Roberts Research.

Ken Roberts purchases Sandy Cooper’s remaining interest in the company,
but Sandy stays on as an advisor.

2004

 

Cooper Roberts announces the opening of our New York/New Jersey office.

Ken Roberts becomes national chairman of the board of the Marketing Research

Association (MRA)

Cooper Roberts is awarded a large study by American Honda Company that propels CRR to new heights. The revenue from this study allows the company to plan a move into its first “real” office.
